Angela is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Psychotherapist at Weatherstone Counseling Institute. She has a strong interest in overall health and brings a diverse background in the helping professions. Before beginning her career as a counselor, Angela worked as a licensed respiratory therapist.
She holds an Associate in Applied Science degree in Respiratory Therapy from the College of DuPage, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Intercultural Studies from Elmhurst College, and a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Roosevelt University.
Angela takes an eclectic approach to therapy, with interests in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Brainspotting to support individuals in healing from relational harm and trauma. She is passionate about helping clients process what has happened to them, develop empathetic self-understanding, retain what works, and make positive choices for the future. Angela also integrates coping strategies and body awareness techniques to support recovery, calm the nervous system, and alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression.
Angela primarily offers in-person appointments, with some availability for telehealth sessions.
