Judy is a seasoned psychotherapist who brings over 20 years of experience in mental health, elder services, and addiction treatment to Weatherstone Counseling Institute. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from National Louis University and became a licensed counselor in 2001. Judy also holds advanced training in addictions and a Master’s-level certification in gerontology—the study of aging. Counseling is a second career for Judy. After many years in the corporate world, she transitioned into mental health, driven by a passion for helping others navigate life’s challenges.
Judy works from a strengths-based, collaborative approach, empowering clients to uncover the answers that often lie within themselves. She integrates a variety of therapeutic techniques to support clients in identifying obstacles, finding clarity, and achieving their goals. Her approach is warm, practical, and deeply respectful of each client’s unique journey.
Judy provides therapy exclusively via telehealth and has extensive experience working with adults, couples, and families—particularly those navigating transitions related to aging and elder care.
