Scott has been working as a psychotherapist since 2016 and is currently part of the clinical team at Weatherstone Counseling Institute. Scott’s therapeutic skills have been applied in both inpatient and outpatient care, allowing him to learn a variety of techniques and gain experience working with diverse needs. After graduating, Scott worked both as an inpatient therapist on an intensive treatment unit and as an intake specialist. In 2020, Scott transition to private practice. Scott earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Illinois Wesleyan University and his Masters degree in Counseling at Northwestern University.   

Scott tailors his therapeutic approach to the needs of the client by pulling from several modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy. He believes that therapy is a collaborative experience and works to create a safe space for his clients. Scott often incorporates humor and eastern philosophy into his work.

Scott has treated individuals diagnosed with a range of disorder such as Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Substance Use Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Scott provides compassionate listening and problem solving skills to help a wide range of clients, from adolescents to adults. Scott offers both in person and telehealth sessions.
